How to create blogs

Before i dive into the nitty gritty of how to create a blog, we will define some blog related terms:

Permalink: This stands for permanent link. It is the URL of each individual post you make on your blog

Ping or Pinging: This is the process of notifying an aggregator that new content has been added to your blog. The aggregator then displayes this information of their site. Pinging is a popular method of generating traffic to your blog

A blogging platform is a computer software program that allows you to write posts and to update your blog. The blogging platform is what you use to create the look, color scheme, page layout, fonts etc of your blog.

There are several blogging platforms on the Internet but I will mention the two top dogs and only focus on one. The reason for this is I can only teach you what i have used and has worked for
my business. This way I am certain that the information you get from this site is information that can increase your profits when applied.

Now the two major players when it comes to blogging platforms are

Blogger
Wordpress

Why you should create a blog with blogger:

Very easy to set up and use
No need for plug ins
No hosting required
Owned by google and regularly crawled by Google
It's free

To create your blog with blogger all you need is a google account and your computer to be plugged in and online.
Blogger set up allows you to set up your google account during your blog creation process

Now to create your blog go to
http://www.blogger.com/

Click on the create your blog now button.

The Google account creation page will come up

Just fill in your details and make a note of the password you select.

The next page to come up prompts you to select a blog title and URL.

The next page will ask for a blog description.

You will also be given the option to choose your blog template. Although there is no hard and fast rule to this, i generally use templates with the navigation to the right. This means that when my blogs are crawled, it is my content that the spiders crawl firstContinue filling in the prompts and you are set to go.
